Music Director – Mary Poppins – Benefit Concert
The CIC Theater Company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Music Director for our upcoming benefit concert of Disney’s Mary Poppins. Music Director will be responsible to teaching parts and coaching (actors are pre-professional and professional hailing from NYC, DC and Boston), as well as playing piano/conducting a pit of 3-5 musicians at the concert. The Music Director will also be responsible for creating rehearsal tracks for actors to use at home prior to rehearsals beginning.
Sunday, October 27 – 11:00-2:00 (at the Boston Center for the Arts or the Mosesian Center for the Arts)
Wednesday, January 8 – 6:00-10:00 (at the Boston Center for the Arts)
Friday, January 10 – 5:00-10:00 (at the Boston Center for the Arts)
Saturday, January 11 – 9:00-7:00 (at the Mosesian Center for the Arts)
Performance is Sunday, January 12 at the Mosesian Center for the Arts MainStage Theater.
· Minimum two years of music directing experience
· Superior written and verbal communication skills
· Availability for full schedule
· Proficient piano skills
· Ability to manage and conduct a small orchestra
· Experience working with children a plus
· Passion for youth outreach
· Ability to command a large group of actors
· Appreciate diversity among co-workers
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Reliable transportation to Boston and Watertown
$300 stipend for the weekend
